Abstract

The paper describes the use of fractal geometry characteristics for analysis of experimental neutron data which is recorded by measuring system during testing of reactor plant core. Moments of qualitative changes in the system are determined by using the wavelet filtration of noise interferences in the measuring channel and calculation of the local fractal index over relatively short discrete sequence of equidistant time signal. The paper presents results for reactor behavior with thermal-hydraulic instability of coolant circulation and related stochastic oscillations of neutron power signals.
